A wonderfully soft blanket made from the wool of sheep living in the extremely harsh conditions of New Zealand. Merino wool is a wonderfully soft yarn that does not itch and has anti-allergic properties. It is this yarn that is used to make thermal underwear for mountaineering, as it keeps you warm even when wet. It wicks moisture away perfectly and provides warmth even in very difficult conditions.

It improves the quality of sleep. It is 100% natural yarn from sheep living in the wild, in an excellent environment. The sheep are shorn and the wool is cleaned naturally.

Wool reacts to the surrounding environment and temperature. Under the influence of heat, the fibers expand, and under the influence of cold, they shrink. This provides perfect thermal insulation. It is warm in winter and pleasant in summer. This blanket will work well even in difficult conditions of frost and strong wind.

The yarn has an original certificate of origin and production from The Woolmark Company. This confirms its highest quality. Be sure to check out all the analyses and tests carried out by this yarn manufacturer. The wool also has the Oeko-tex standard 100 certificate.

Good to know:

Merino wool does not itch. Its fibers are much thinner than regular wool. It is also very elastic. When in contact with the skin, the fibers do not dig in, but bend. The self-cleaning scales on the surface of the fibers give it antibacterial properties and prevent it from absorbing odors. It also does not get dirty as quickly as other fibers.
It is delicate and suitable even for the most sensitive skin.
It is hypoallergenic.
It provides thermal comfort even in very difficult conditions.
It has natural protection against dirt - you rarely wash the blanket.
It absorbs moisture and wicks it away.
It is electrostatic.

Keep in mind:

Fire resistance – merino fibers do not melt. It is a low-flammability and safe material. In case of contact with fire, it will not melt or stick to the skin.

Washing:

Hand wash or use a special program (wool program), spin cycle reduced to 200 rpm or no spin cycle. Use only a high-quality wool detergent such as Perwoll Pink.

MERINO WOOL - HOW TO CARE FOR IT

Merino wool does not require frequent washing.

Machine wash only on a delicate wool cycle. Use detergents designed for this purpose. It is a good idea to wash the blanket from time to time in a liquid containing lanolin, designed for washing this type of wool.

Do not wash the blanket unless necessary. Merino wool only needs to be aired. Washing is recommended only for heavy soiling. Wool is self-cleaning. After washing, it is best to shake out the blanket with your hands and stretch it.

Dry flat. Do not dry on a direct heat source (radiator, underfloor heating).

Merino wool can naturally pill when rubbed frequently. Any pilling, i.e., small balls, is best removed with a sweater shaver. Pilling does not affect the properties of the blanket or the thickness of the yarn.

For daily refreshing of merino wool, we recommend a clothes brush. You can buy it HERE. Combing wool cleans it, improves its elasticity and volume, and extends its durability.
