Premium Merino Wool Baby Blanket "Cookie" - Taupe

A very warm and thick blanket made of merino wool with a weave reminiscent of cookies. The central hook weave is enclosed in a flat braid frame.

About merino wool:

Merino wool does not itch or cause allergies. It is considered one of the finest premium raw materials. The blanket impresses with its elasticity and pleasant feel. It is made in Poland from the wool of sheep living in the extremely harsh conditions of New Zealand. This yarn is used to make thermal underwear for mountaineering, as it keeps you warm even when wet. It wicks moisture away perfectly and provides warmth even in very difficult conditions.

It improves the quality of sleep and rest. It is 100% natural yarn from sheep living in the wild, in an excellent environment. The sheep are shorn and the wool is cleaned naturally. Due to the natural yarn and loose weave, it is safe for small children.

Wool reacts to the surrounding environment and temperature. Under the influence of heat, the fibers expand, and under the influence of cold, they shrink. This provides perfect thermal insulation. It is warm in winter and pleasant in summer. This blanket will work well even in difficult conditions of frost and strong wind.

Good to know:

Merino wool does not itch. Its fibers are much thinner than regular wool. It is also very elastic. When in contact with the skin, the fibers do not dig in, but bend. The self-cleaning scales on the surface of the fibers give it antibacterial properties and prevent it from absorbing odors. It also does not get dirty as quickly as other fibers.
It is delicate and suitable even for the most sensitive skin.
It is hypoallergenic.
It provides thermal comfort even in very difficult conditions.
It has natural protection against dirt - you rarely wash the blanket.

Keep in mind:

Fire resistance - merino fibers do not melt. It is a low-flammable and safe material. In case of contact with fire, it will not melt or stick to the skin.

Washing:

Merino wool does not require frequent washing as it is naturally self-cleaning. It also does not absorb odors. Hand wash with a good quality wool detergent. If you decide to machine wash, set the wool program, max temperature 30 degrees, and turn off the spin cycle.

Dry flat (not on a direct heat source such as a radiator). It is a good idea to wash the blanket from time to time in a liquid containing lanolin, designed for washing this type of wool.

Merino wool can naturally pill when rubbed frequently. Any pilling, i.e., small balls, is best removed with a sweater shaver. Pilling does not affect the properties of the blanket or the thickness of the yarn and usually only occurs at the beginning of use.
